freezing!

winter's nearly here.. it's getting colder with each passing day.. which reminds me- need to save money so that i can go buy winter jackets/tops...one teaspoon have a great range of tops that have a fleece underlayer.. but they're all a little bit low cut for me.. and they come in great colours too ..

anybody else feeling the freezing weather? esp. at syd uni -- the wind always seems to blow right through me - leaving me literally chilled to the bones..

today at uni- a girl walked up to me and my friends ( this was at about 5 and we're all brain dead from a 3 hr physiology tut. ) and asks us about RU486

me- first thought.. r u 4 86? what's so special about 1986? then when 3 seconds later-- hang on, u mean the abortion drug? women should decide whether to use it or not, not the government... (what on earth am i talking about? utter crap! i think i was trying to sound like a feminist? like i was up to date with current issues in australian society? righteous? interesting? )
my two other friends are like- don't know anything about the pharmokinetics of the drug ( i.e how it interacts within the body, etc)

anybody else approached by this girl?

yummy new food- and more talk about work =)

at work, we're using one company for all the cakes ,tarts and biscuits and they're SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better than the old ones

the rocky road slice actually tastes like real chocolate
the caramel slice rocks-- reminds me of nestle condensed milk (but johanna-yours is still THE BEST!)
the spinach and fetta roll is amazing-- tastes real good WITHOUT tomato sauce.. i usually just slather it in tomato sauce so u can only taste tomato sauce

next shift-- moving on to all the cakes =)

i worked today and three funny things happened
1) two ladies who were 30+ ( i think they were mother and daughter) ordered:
Two oreo bashes, two custard tarts, 1 pecan tart and two sausage rolls.. WHOA-- i think their order came to a total of about 30 dollars... michael (he's 16) was like- wow it's so rare to see females who can eat more than me
2) a man claimed his coffee was 'scaldingly hot' (isn;t coffee meant to be hot?), bought it back and wanted michael to make it..apparently, he always brings the coffe back if he realises michael didn't make the coffee.. =P why didn't he say so earlier? i wouldn't have been offended.. i know michael make the BEST latte milk =) two thumbs up! this lady lives in dulwich hill and works at rockdale and comes to Kogarah just to get two regular lattes every day =)
3) a weird guy thought that me and daniella ( she's filipino- dark skin, black hair , really pretty and petite) were related and when questioned.. he goes.. 'oh you guys both have black hair''

and i don't think i've actually gained any kgs yet but my stomach looks a lot bigger .. probably from all the late night snacks-- kettle chips, toblerone chocolate and arnott's tiny teddies PLUS all of mum's food that i've been eating since i didn't have uni last week.. UGH

will go on a 'no junk food, only fruit snacks' thing sometime soon

bad movie day + sleeping position

Bad movie day- great success- great time-great to see everybody again-great cheesecake-

ky was excited that she drove to laura's place ( congrats! you're finally driving comfortably-no more of mum being super nervous?) and she was super excited but then we all burst her little bubble when we all commented that pretty much all of us drove to laura's place too. =P

everybody who was at BMday-- I only watched half the movie and even then, i was not facing the tv most of the time with my eyes closed and hands over my ear BUT i still can't sleep properly at night (it's been 3 nights now).. HAVE to have the night light on otherwise i literally freak out..

highly embarassing and stupid.. but lots of vivid images come up as soon as it's all dark.. so any sort of horror movies in the future-- definitely count me out..

dad's actually suggested i sleep with mum tonight

gigli- definitely WORST Movie ever! even worse than crossroads with b.spears (at least that had a storyline that made sense) what was with the script? and where was the chemistry between ben afleck and jennifer lopez?!

interesting article i found today about sleeping positions.. i can't decide what position i am cos i continually switch (due to bad back) between soldier, yearner and foetus.

on a completely different note-- HALF of the brightly coloured headbands i got from paddys have snapped =( they were only $1 each cos i got so many and the lady gave me a special price , usually $2.
but then i saw heaps of cool headbands at lugarno chemist today but expensive.. will save up for them..i saw 4 i liked and at $5 each.. i 'm still deciding =P

CHEAP CHEAP chocolate!

my mum went to coles today and came home with literally, bags and bags ( at least 5) of cheap easter chocolate .. slightly smushed eggs, cracked bunnies and really flat eggs ( i want to know how that happened). and She was SO happy with herself. LOL

bags ranged from $1.00-$2.95

and then told me that there were lots of other ladies, not all chinese, who were also fighting for these plastic bags filled with chocolate.

and that solved one of my mysteries. what happens to all the crappy easter eggs and bunnies? they're sold by-the-bag for ridicously low prices on easter monday.

i never knew that:
perfect lindt bunnies, freddo eggs, cadbury eggs, red tulip bunnies, lindt packages and all other easter chocolate-related things are all HALF PRICE after easter sunday!

coles ot woolies

anybody else excited about this week's specials-- palmolive shampoo and conditioner for 2.50 each at woolies ?! usually they're about $4-$5.

it's weird.. i use to ONLY shop at coles.. and the majority of my shopping with mum is still done there. it's conveniently located near my house and parking there is heaps easy.

when catologues come, i never bothered looking at woolies .

But i've just realised-- i am now checking both catologues cos i m always on the hunt for

-cheap dove chocolate, maltesers and mars bars
-cheap gum and of course
-cheap shampoo and conditioner

and the fact that there's a woolies super near my work place is also cool. but everytime i shop at woolies, i always feel a little bit guilty.

anybody else have that loyalty thing? where they only shop at coles, or only at woolies or they don't care ? and if u guys only shop at a particular place, why is that so? e.g the nearest coles is just so much closer?

I had lunch at Dixon, Hurstville today with Kelvin and ordered no.10 - ''Spring Rolls with Rice Vercimelli''

For some reason, a picture came to my head. Massive Spring Rolls crammed with yummy Rice Vercimelli.

Instead, a massive bowl of rice vercimelli came with tiny taro spring rolls. i think i ate a quarter of it.

Lol.. it was just silly of me. I should have asked the waiter on duty.

I also went Easter egg shopping with Aidan, my youngest brother. I have no idea why those eggs and bunnies were so damm expensive. I got fed up with the prices, saw 100g of toblerone on sale for $2, usually $2.69 and decided to stock up on that instead. Besides, I prefer toblerone to cadbury chocolate anyday. on another completely different note, I parked BEAUTIFULLY into a little space near coles today and i was so proud of myself. keep in mind, i'm driving a 7 seater honda odyssey.

I also saw Julia drving on Forest Rd today and I really like her car. Hey julia, I didn't know u were on green ps already! =)

I'm so excited about bad movie tuesday!

I've been reading so many blogs since uni started and I've discovered that

1)it's a great way to keep in touch with people
2) there are some really witty people out there =)
2) i get frustrated when people don't blog at least once every 2 days and think to my self-What happened to them?!

yay! i 'm looking forward to hearing from everybody and keeping up with the blog

so stuff that's happened lately
-started yoga with Laura at Dynamic Yoga (use to be at hurstville and now at kingsgrove) hopefully it will help my sore back
-i don't whether i'm bored or just completely settled at Gloria Jeans but when i've been doing all my shifts , i no longer run around like a mad crazy headless chook except between 8 and 9pm and there's people in the upstairs section, lots of washing up has to be done, i haven't finished pastry case yet and i freak out a little bit...
-apparently at uni, there are 2 (that i know of but i don't actually know them personally) girls who look like me as in they 're my size, have my features and they also laugh like me ( FREAKY!) - one of these Leanas was so similar in appearance , my friend actually went up to her thinking it was me and talking to her , then realised.. hang on ,that's not Leana and then realised that he actually knew her remotely via another friend
- I m comfortable driving around the local area now by myself.. in fact I';ve been doing it for the past 4 months .. i m not sp0oked out by the silence anymore .. I just crank up the radio really loud ...and i can park!! reverse park, kerbside park and even park in underground shopping centres!
-i m over ebay now .. instead i love op shopping.. if only i could convince myself to buy second hand shoes...
-bought myself a pair of cheap big w ugg boots for home -- u don't have to wear socks! - enough said
-stopped getting excited about mascara.. just use any mascara and use heated eyelash curler
- want to start Indonesian again..
