a bit of everything

exams finished (won't do well in them but at the moment ... i m just glad they're over... please nobody tell me that i'll do fine and to not worry.. i just know cos well i didn't study super well for them)

but i think i'll do alright in all the subjects overall

secondly

party tonight.. and i learnt.. tequila is really good! much much better than vodka...
i was 'high' on 5 tequila shots for about 2 hrs ( not drunk cos i remember everything about the night including the stores, going to Kogarah Woolies laughing my head off and refusing to hand the checkout person my 5 lemons all at once, for some stupid reason, i was counting them out to him? lol =p and hugging cookie monster tightly in front of the kogarah town centre toilets and liquor land, picture me giggly-usual level TIMES about 50.. ) and then afterwards.. i was just a bit tired and slight headache and then completely fine! seriously! the only after effect -- super super thirsty for the whole night

thirdly- so many things to look forward to
dinners esp Julia's lunch =) ,
jaime- barbecue somewhere? sylv mentioned something but she wasn't entirely sure either,
joining chinese at tafe with ben ( I hope we end up on the same level!)
hopefully will fit in with busy next semester

PLUS shopping and
just being on holidays and hopefully being able to work heaps at GJs

and soccer! it's just been great! i've been so buzzed from the games =)
is ''aussie aussie aussie oi oi oi'' really that cringeworthy?

finally
secret 'guilty' albums i like ( i think that's the expression?)
shakira! how catchy is 'Hips don't like' , even more catchy than 'Whenever, wherever'
britney spears! all of her albums

name calling

LEEARNA

it's the first name i've ever seen that spelling before , another variation of my name

i just saw it today and it definitely looks like it should be pronounced

lee-arn-a

the way heaps of people call me

but i m Lee-ann-a

i've come up with the story that my parents spelt my name wrong on the birth certificate and left out an 'n'

but i still prefer it with one n

Leanna and Leeanna both look kinda long =p

back to studying for chem..

just breathe and think.. come this Friday, it will all be over!

quotes about self

australian SOCCER.. i've read so many articles today about last night's match... and i watched it from the beginning.. was too upset to watch the middle 20 minutes (about 20 minutes before australia's first goal-- i was swearing and just shaking my head ..''oh no!! australia's going to lose! please no! at least let it be a tie! ''

mum actually sent me to my room and told me to calm down.. then i came back out and I am stoked- tim cahill scores! i was so excited!! hugged kenneth so hard! 2nd goal.. shrieked so loudly i woke dad up and third goal.. WOW!! =p mum was like -- i went in for 10 minutes and they scored THREE goals?!!!! and today , walking to uni, on the train, at uni, every 2nd person was talking about it... love australia! and weetbix!

and i really like this article that Kofi Annan wrote, please click here

and all the articles about soccer uniting people.. i don't think it's just soccer.. i think it's all sports =)

on a completely different note...

1) at work -- a man told me ''you look like lucy liu! nobody's ever told u that? really?? well u do.. and take that as a compliment!''

2) ben says 'you're the epitome of ''girly weirdness'' '(something to that effect)

why is she not cold?!!

am i just unbelievably unfit (that's what my doctor said when i asked him about this) that i really feel the cold and need LAYERS and LAYERS (literally!) of clothes to feel 'not cold' ..not even 'hot' or 'warm' ..just not shivering.. everyday to uni?

i have a basic long sleeve tee,
a thermal (thin but super warm)long sleeved top
and then an actual top ,whether it'll be turtle neck or long sleeved pretty top

PLUS a jacket (usually fleeced lined)

and gloves

yet.. jennifer aniston turned up TODAY ( in all the rain.. i was SOAKED from knee down 5 minutes after i walked out the house.. the short walk to the station had my jeans soaked cos they were too long and i think i must have been really 'sloppy' and slopping the water up my jeans? .. and then walking around uni, walking from redfern to uni, walking home, walking to uni..and i also had an umbrella..anybody else feel crappy about the rain? any 'wet day' ..woops 'rainy day' stories?)

in that outfit! i don't understand!!!

and even on days when i don't need coffee.. i buy one just because it's cold and i want to warm up..
side note - cheap GOOD coffee outside refern station ($1.50 for uni students.. i buy it normally but now it's so cheap so that's even better =) ..the only downside is it gets cold by the time u get to uni .. i'd much rather buy it at carslaw or bosch so that in lecture theatres , the coffee is still warm....

yoga teacher is a bit loopy

i got the impression that our (laura and mine) yoga teacher thought we were both from some south east asian poor country..

why do i say this?

today in yoga, we were doing lots of poses that involved stretching our hip joints

me and laura have pretty flexible hip joints ( compared to the two 25+ ladies ( one of them is definitely 30+, the lady with the british accent is a bit hard to tell) and the 50+ old man .. they were feeling the stretch and we couldn't feel much stretching at all even with the heavy sand bags on our thigh muscles. we got to do more complex cross legged poses =p )

anyway, at the end of the lesson.. anne, the yoga teacher commented on us having flexible hip joints and asked whether we sit cross legged alot.. and we're both like..yeah.. 7 years of primary school.. and then she goes something along the lines of '' oh, see, western kids have chairs...chairs are so bad, we should sit cross legged more often''

i had to keep a straight face and go 'yeah, we didn't have many chairs'

i like sitting cross legged....reminds me of 'show and tell' and 'story time' during pre school and happy memories of primary school..

besides isn't that the nautral position people go for when they sit on the floor? or maybe she's referring to the fact that most people work in an office and sit in front of a computer all day?

anyway.. what a weird weird thing to say.. obviously this is because laura and me were both BORN HERE! and we both went to school here- primary, high school and now uni!!
